We collect information you provide when you create an account: username, email address (for adult accounts), name, and password. Child accounts contain only a username and password — no email address or external identifiers.

2. COPPA Compliance

Child accounts (Role 3) are created exclusively by a parent or guardian. We do not collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. Child accounts have no email field and cannot connect to external applications without explicit parent approval.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to provide the Life Planner service. We do not sell, share, or disclose personal information to third parties except as required by law.

4. Data Security

Passwords are hashed using industry-standard bcrypt. Session data is stored server-side. We use HTTPS in production environments.

5. Data Retention

Account data is retained as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account at any time through the Settings page.
